Vintage 1991 DIANE GARD McGuffey ARTIST BEAR 15" Sitting w/McGuffey Reader

This is a vintage, 1991 Diane Gard artist bear--McGuffey. McGuffey was given to me by Diane back in 1991. I had a teddy bear store at the time, but I also wrote articles about really talented and great Bear Artists, and Diane was at the top of that list. She was so kind to come to Arizona to teach several bear-making classes for me. Wonderful person and soul.
She knew I am a technical copy editor and so she made McGuffey for me because of that and in a thanks for friendship. Love her.
McGuffey has been put away for the past 29 years, never exposed to smoke, perfume, scent of any kind. I am asthmatic so my world is scent free.
McGuffey is a dark rust mohair and he comes with the McGuffey Eclectic  Reader 4th Edition as shown in photos. He sits 15 inches tall. You cannot bend his legs, he stays in that position. As shown he has a personalized and signed hangtag with his name and information from Diane.
I love McGuffey, but I have no one to leave my special bears to, so I thought it would be better to find him a home where he will be equally loved and cherished and cared for. He truly is a wonderful bear to add to any great bear collection. From a time when we had so many wonderful artists.
McGuffey is a rare bear. I have never seen another. A treasure to be loved.
