The DONIC Dotec System is the first wood technology without awkward edges.Since the human hand does not have hard edges, DONIC wanted to develop a smooth blade without sharp edges.It was, therefore, important to ensure a completely smooth transition between blade and handle.
The handle: The DONIC Dotec model has a totally different handle to previous bats.The handle is made out of one piece, surrounded by natural cork. There are different versions for right and left handed players.
The Donic Waldner Dotec Carbon comes with a Limba outer ply, carbon plies, and a Balsa core. This combination of Limba, Balsa, and Dotec technology defines the unique performance of this blade.
Its hard to go back after using the handle this blade provides. the Cork deadens the unwanted vibration without killing feel for the ball. the result is a very smooth feel. The blade itself has a lot of speed as well as ease of touch. One of the highest ratios of control to speed . One thing to note is the design of the handle results in a more closed forehand and a more open backhand. The amount is marginal but worth mentioning
The carbon layers are placed on top of a 4 mm strong Balsa core. Covering and middle ply consist of 0,6 mm Limba for each ply.
